Taxi Transfers To and From Ontario Airport

After arriving at Ontario International Airport (ONT) in California, please make sure to collect your luggage from the baggage claim area before proceeding to your chosen option of transfer. Available transfer options include rental cars, public buses and taxis.

The airport partners with one taxi company, Bell Cab, to provide their visitors with a safe and trusted taxi transfer option as these cabs are licensed and insured.

Taxi ranks are located in front each of the terminals on the outer island and this is where the official taxis are available, including wheelchair accessible vehicles.

The taxi fare will vary depending on destination, time of day and week and traffic, but it will take approximately 10 minutes to Ontario city center and around an hour to central Los Angeles. The fare to Ontario is expected to be somewhere between $20 and $35, but as mentioned it will depend on a range of factors at the time of the journey.

Arriving travelers will be dropped off outside their terminal of departure unless otherwise requested. Drivers will not help the traveler inside with their luggage.

It is customary to tip the driver.

There are several companies offering car and limousine services to transfer from or to Ontario International Airport. Travelers transferring from the airport will have to make an advanced reservation directly with the company of their choice. Follow their instructions for check-in upon arrival and for information on where collection will take place. Travelers transferring to the airport will be dropped off in front of their terminal of departure.

Ride Share Apps at Ontario International Airport

Several ride share app companies offer their service of transfer from, and to, the airport. The companies available at ONT are Lyft, Opoli, Uber and Wingz.

After having claimed your luggage, request a ride through the chosen company’s mobile application and follow the “Ride-Share Pick Up Location” signs. The pick-up locations can be found on the inner curb near the east end of each of the terminals. Before entering a vehicle please, make sure their information matches yours.

The fare will vary, but the estimated price is $15 to downtown Ontario, $30 to Riverside and $70 to Los Angeles, but can be more or less depending on exact location and a few other perimeters.
