Ontario, California is located just 40 mi/65 km from the city of Los Angeles so there are of course many popular and interesting locations and sites to visit within one or two hours’ drive, but there are also things to do, sites to visit, and excursions to experience in and around Ontario itself. Graber Olive House – The Graber Olive House is the site of the longest operating olive packing business in the country, since 1894, although far from the first. The Graber family still owns the business. The site is a cultural and historical attraction and a very popular site to visit. It comprises of two historic shops and a cannery, and tours of the facilities are offered all year around, although mid-October is the best time for experiencing the grading of olives while the last two months of a calendar year are the best for experiencing the canning process.

Rock Climb Every Day – Rock Climb Every Day is a family owned business that does things a little bit differently, because that is the way they like it. They offer a wide variety of options from beginner experiences, to family climbing, rappelling, trad climbing, sport climbing and more, and they also offer private lessons as well as group and party experiences. The classes and adventures are lead by some of the best certified instructors in the field.

San Bernardino County Regional Parks – San Bernardino County Regional Parks include Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, Calico Ghost Town Regional Park, Cucamonga, Guasti Regional Park, Glen Helen National Park, Lake Gregory Regional Park, Moabi Regional Park, Mojave Narrows Regional Park, Mojave River Forks Regional Park, Prado Regional Park, Santa Ana River Trail and Pkwy, and Yucuaipa Regional Park. These parks offer a variety of activities such as archery and shooting ranges, boating and water sports, camping, fishing, equestrian activities, hiking, biking, golf, disc golf, swimming and water slides. Different parks offer different activities.

iFLY Ontario, California: First Time Flyer Experience

iFly Ontario, located near Ontario International Airport, California, USA, is a state-of-the-art wind tunnel where skydives are simulated.

The skydiving simulator allows for participants to defy gravity for an unforgettable experience with skill, style and courage. A professional flight instructor will give one-on-one instructions on how make different positions with the body to control how to fly once inside the tunnel.

Skydive gear is included, as is locker rental, and photos are available to purchase in either USB or print format after the experience.

The flight experience costs less than a tandem jump, but has a much longer freefall time, and the gravity-defying flight experience lasts for 2 minutes.

While the experience is safe for healthy people over the age of 3 there are a lot of people that are not suitable for this experience, for their own safety.

LOS ANGELES

California Coastline Helicopter Tour

Experience the stunning views of the Californian coastline from the panoramic vantage point of a helicopter. The helicopter takes off from Bob Hope Airport, in Burbank, for a unique and thrilling 30-minute helicopter ride to explore the Los Angeles Coast line. The helicopter will fly south over the Santa Monica Mountains before dropping down to view the spectacular coastal homes of Pacific Palisades, fly low-level along Santa Monica’s world famous beaches, the Santa Monica Pier as well as Venice. As the helicopter returns to the airport it will fly over the new Getty Center with architecture that appears even more dramatic from above than from below.

Aquarium of the Pacific: Skip-the-Ticket-Line Admission

Aquarium of the Pacific is located in the Long Beach Area of Los Angeles and it is the home for more than 12,000 animals displayed through 500 exhibits. A visit here is all about exploring these exhibits to experience some of all these animals.

One of the centerpieces of the Aquarium is the Honda Pacific Visions Theater that features an 8-minute film with multisensory effects and it is included in admission of this activity.

Included in the exhibits is the Shark Lagoon where visitors get to come face-to-face with these mighty predators of the ocean. In other exhibits visitors get to hand-fee colorful lorikeet birds, or watch the Magellanic penguins in the June Keyes Penguin Habitat.
