Flight Arrivals at Ontario Airport
When arriving at Ontario International Airport, California, USA, please remember to collect your luggage before proceeding to exit the baggage claim area. When we first arrive at a new airport there are things we want to know about, such as if there are any ATMs/cash machines around, or where our pet can find some relief and much more. We have listed some of services available at Ontario International Airport below.
Wheelchair Assistance at Ontario Airport
Wheelchair assistance at ONT is provided by the separate airlines, and is free of charge. The airport is not involved with the service. Most airlines require the request of assistance at least 48 hours, sometimes more, before the scheduled departure time of the flight in question.
It is recommended for all travelers with special needs to be at the airport at least one hour before the airline’s recommended arrival time.
WiFi at Ontario Airport
Ontario International Airport provides free unlimited WiFi access for up to 4 hours via the hotspot name “ONT-WiFi”.
Transfers at Ontario Airport
Rental Cars – The rental car companies present at the airport are located in the Rental Car Facility located close to Haven Avenue that runs past the airport. The airport provides a free shuttle service to travelers between the terminals and the Car Center. See and compare all rental car companies at Ontario International Airport.
Buses – Omnitrans Bus Route 61 serves the airport with departures from morning to evening. The bus travels between Pomona Transit Center and Fontana Metrolink Station with stops along way at the airport as well as in Ontario city center and Ontario Mills and more. Greyhound - Greyhound has a station north of downtown Ontario. The best way to get there is by taxi as the bus doesn’t go all the way even after a transfer of bus lines.
Taxis – Bell Cab provides the official taxi cabs that serve the airport and they can be found at the taxi ranks located outside each of the terminals. More about taxis at Ontario International Airport.
Hotel Shuttles – Some hotels in the Ontario area offer a transfer service between the airport and the accommodation. These are arranged in advance by the traveler, or their representative, directly with the hotel.
Ride Share Apps – Several ride share companies offer their services at the airport. To request a transfer download the chosen company’s smartphone application and put in the information requested.
Coaches, Limousines and Shuttles – Several transportation companies offer their services of transfer from and to the airport. These have to be arranged beforehand by the traveler or their representative.
Trains – The airport doesn’t have a train station, but it is possible to transfer directly or via a transfer to various train stations.
Metrolink is Southern California’s regional rail passenger system and it serves more than 55 stations in the region. The closest station from the airport is the Ontario-East Metrolink Station which is served by the Riverside line connecting Riverside with Los Angeles. It is possible to take a taxi directly there, approximately 3 mi/5 km, or to take the free airport shuttle to the Car Rental Center and catch Omnitrans Bus Route 81 from Haven Avenue to the train station.
Fontana Metrolink Station is on one end of Omnitrans Bus Route 61 and is located 45 minutes from the airport, no other transfer needed. The Metrolink Station in Pomona is located a 5-minute walk from the other end stop of the same bus route, Pomona Transit Center, 30 minutes from the airport without a transfer needed.
Amtrak serves Ontario Station in Ontario City Center. Omnitrans Bus Route 61 stops a 2-minute walk from the train station. See more about train services near Ontario International Airport.
Smoking at Ontario Airport
Smoking is only permitted in dedicated smoking areas outside of the airport terminals. There are no smoking facilities on airside and travelers with connecting flights have to first enter landside and then go through the security check again if they want to smoke a cigarette between flights.
ATMs at Ontario Airport
There are ATMs/cash machines in both terminals’ departures and arrivals areas, and there is also one in the Ground Transportation Center.

Luggage carts are available for rental in the airport’s baggage claim areas.

The Baggage Claim areas are located on the terminals’ ground floors.
Nursing Rooms at Ontario Airport
Private lactation and nursing rooms, where mothers can pump or breastfeed in a private and secure area, can be found in Terminal 2 and Terminal 4. The rooms are equipped with padded benches, a changing area, a small table and an electrical outlet.
Pet Relief Areas at Ontario Airport
Outside pet relief areas can be found at the far end of the two terminal buildings. Inside pet relief areas can be found in both terminals.
USO Lounge at Ontario Airport
Troops and their families may use the USO lounge free of charge. It is located in the Administration Building, old Terminal 1, and the free airport shuttles provide transfer between Terminals 2 and 4 and the facility. The USO lounge is approximately 10,000 square feet/930 square meters and has an extensive free library of books and magazines, a library of films and television shows, a game room, luggage storage, computers with internet access, nursery and children’s area, a snack bar, a nap room, a family room and outdoor patio.
Water Bottle Filling Stations at Ontario Airport
There are hydration stations where travelers can refill their water bottles located in both Terminals 2 and Terminal 4.
Lost and Found at Ontario Airport
The Ontario International Airport Lost and Found Office is located behind the information desk in Terminal 2. It is open Monday-Friday from 7am to 12pm and from 1pm to 3.30pm, local time. This is where to turn if an item is lost in the public areas of the airport. For items or luggage lost onboard an aircraft, please contact the airline directly.
Food and Shopping at Ontario Airport
There are several options for food, beverage or shopping available at the airport’s two main terminals, Terminal 2 and Terminal 4. These establishments are located on the secure airside of the terminals.
Luggage Storage at Ontario Airport
The airport does not offer any luggage storage or lockers.
Traveler’s Aid at Ontario Airport
Both Terminal 2 and Terminal 4 have Airport Information Desks available between 9am and 9pm each day.
